US Address Validation for Dynamics 365 Business Central

Every shipment, invoice and tax calculation rests on an address somebody typed by hand. A missing apartment number, a misspelt street, a ZIP code that belongs to the next town over — each one turns into a failed delivery, a carrier surcharge or a customer record nobody can match. Our US Address Validation service checks and corrects addresses against official United States postal data, inside Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central, at the moment they are entered and across the records you already hold.

An address arrives as free text and leaves as a clean, postal-standard record:

• Parsing of free-form text into street number, pre- and post-directionals, street name and type, secondary unit, city, state and ZIP
• Correction of misspelt street and city names, and of abbreviations written a dozen different ways
• Completion of the missing pieces: ZIP+4, county, and the correct city name for the ZIP actually used
• Output in the standardised format the USPS expects, so the same address is always written the same way

Deliverable, Not Just Well-Formed

A tidy address is not necessarily one the mail carrier can reach. Validation goes to the delivery point itself:

• Delivery Point Validation (DPV) — confirmation that the address exists as a deliverable point, not merely a plausible one
• Secondary unit checks (SuiteLink) — the suite or apartment that a business address is missing, added from the postal record
• Converted rural routes (LACSLink) — addresses renumbered under local emergency-services conversions, brought up to date
• Residential or business classification (RDI) — the flag that decides which carrier rate a shipment attracts

Caught at the Point of Entry

The cheapest bad address is the one never saved:

• Suggestions as the address is typed on the customer, vendor, contact and ship-to cards — a few keystrokes instead of a full line
• Verification on sales orders and shipping documents before they are released
• A clear status on the record: verified, corrected, or needing attention, with what was changed
• Fewer keystrokes for the person entering it, which is what makes the check stick in daily use

The Records You Already Have

Existing data is cleaned in bulk rather than one card at a time:

• Batch validation across customers, vendors, contacts and ship-to addresses
• A report of what was corrected automatically and what needs a human decision
